Florida Public Employees
January 28, 2014
You ever consider why government is so dysfunctional?
Guess what, Public Employees are who make up government. So, are we the ones causing the ills of government?
If not, then, who are the ones to blame?
Perhaps, a good place to start is by asking yourself: Do I know who my elected officials are? How much do I know about them, their voting records, the policies and/or laws they enact? Or better yet, if they are best qualified to represent our interest as Floridians and fellow Americans?
If like most of us, who know little to nothing about those who represent us, then you like me are at fault and now the question you should be asking yourself: What can I do to help fix the problem?
Please remember that the biggest gift our Nation’s Forefathers left us, is the Right to Vote. Absent appointments and Presidential races, the power of an individual VOTE when combined with that of the majority is what shapes our government.
Although I’m not telling you anything you don’t know, please consider in unity we have the power to create a better government for ourselves, our families, and communities. As in the past, all we need is to stand in unity under the single principle of ensuring we have a system of government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.
A few words to think about, as I’m certain we can agree: The actions we take in the coming months will impact our future for years to come.
