USPS An Endangered Public Service
Save Saturday and Door Delivery!
Today, the Senate is convening to continue debates on the federal budget. Our hardworking Sisters and Brothers of the Florida State Association of Letter Carriers have asked us to join their struggle to ensure that Saturday and door delivery are not threatened to be cut during these important debates. Both of these vital services would directly affect our mail carriers drastically. If both services are slashed over 100,000 good union jobs would be eliminated and one of the most important advantages that helps USPS continue to provide quality service would be sacrificed. Contrary to what you may have heard, the postal service is still a vital communications tool for our national interests and the only reason for their financial difficulties is due to the politics of the right wing and the decision of the Bush administration to force the USPS to fully fund employee benefits for the next 75 years up front! Please take a moment today to call
Senator Bill Nelson’s office at (202) 224-5274 and TELL HIM:
“Leave cuts to Saturday & Door Delivery out of the Budget Deal”!
