“GET INFORMED”

Votenet Solutions is an election management company that has been a part of UTD’s voting process since 2010.  Within the last year, the Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC) ruled that UTD’s use of Votenet Solution’s on-line voting process was in violation of the laws that govern public employee voting.  This resulted in UTD having to conduct re-votes on very important issues.  During the time of the PERC investigation, a civil suit was brought against UTD executive officers and the Internal Functions Committee that alleges fraudulence in the last officer and delegate election of 2010.

After three years and hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees, UTD has exhausted the appeal process and must release Votenet Solution documents that may or may not indicate voting fraud on the part of the UTD leadership and the committee that governed the election.  Additionally, Votenet Solutions’ presence, which continues to be retained by the UTD leadership, has been reduced to that of paper ballot vote counter, something UTD members are fully capable of doing themselves.  Moreover, PERC, will be deciding on February 6th, 2013, if UTD leadership has -once again- violated state laws that- once again- will nullify the past votes due to their decision not to post school-by-school counts for all bargaining unit members to see.

FOR THE ABOVE CITED REASONS, IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL COUNCIL OF BUILDING STEWARDS, SHOW UP FOR THE JANUARY 17, 2013 COUNCIL OF BUILDING STEWARDS MEETING! YOUR VOICE ON BEHALF OF THE MEMBERS IS CRUCIAL TO THE FUTURE OF OUR UNION!

We need to establish whether or not it is financially feasible and ethically correct to continue to have Votenet Solutions take part in our voting process.

We need to establish if it is ethically correct and in-line with transparency for UTD leadership to refuse to post school- by- school count
