Volunteers needed for Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

I am writing to share with you the efforts of the Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program.  The Program’s mission is to improve the lives of our nursing home, assisted living, and adult family care home residents.  These trained and certified citizen volunteers routinely visit residents to listen to their requests and concerns relating to their daily lives.  Ombudsmen also investigate complaint allegations when contacted by residents or loved ones.

With over 4,300 facilities in Florida, the need for volunteers is great.  And as more individuals retire to Florida, the need will be even greater.  If you are someone who enjoys giving back to your community and being a voice for seniors, please contact the Ombudsman Program to get involved.

Call 1-888-808-0404 or visit http://ombudsman.myflorida.com.

God bless,

Mike
